Teofil Pančić and Mitja Čander: Travellers of the Balkans among Newcomers, Foreigners, Friends

Upon the publication of Fabula pocket issue Viktor Bubanj Boulevard (Aleja Viktorja Bubnja) by Teofil Pančić.

There'll probably be no shortage of readers who would subtitle the Viktor Bubanj Boulevard as a "travelogue of a Yugo-nostalgic and vagabond of the Balkans". Others would call it a collection of stories of the generations from before, during and after the dissolution of Yugoslavia. Still others would focus on the subjects of foreignness and the loss and subsequent search for any kind of familiar, national and personal identity. However, all of them would be won over by Pančić's disgust for human stupidity that sometimes seeps through the cracks of his pervasive ode to humanity, which he resolutely defends against the brutality of political ideas, as stated by Ante Tomić in the foreword to the Croatian edition.
