Irvine Welsh

Irvin Welsh, a Scottish writer born in 1958, stepped into the literary scene with Trainspotting (1993), a novel turned into film by Danny Boyle, which earned Welsh the title of a controversial writer. At present, Welsh is considered one of the most esteemed, while also infamous, Scottish authors. His creative opus includes several novels (among which we should mention Porno (2002), a sequel to Trainspotting, and The Bedroom Secrets of the Master Chefs, 2006), stage and screen plays, as well as short films he himself directed.

He will perform in Ljubljana, in Cankarjev dom Cultural Centre, Klub CD, on Saturday, 2nd March 2013 at 20.00.
