Milan Kleč

Milan Kleč, a poet and an inventive writer and playwright likes to move in the literary sphere of fantastic, absurd, and grotesque. He was born in 1954 in Ljubljana, where after having finished school he worked as a teacher and then became a fulltime author. His works include numerous poetry collections, stage plays, short stories and novels, which have been translated into Serbian, Croatian, English, German, Italian, and Russian. He won the Golden Bird Award in 1982, the Seven Secretaries of SKOJ Award in 1989, and the Župančič Award in the same year.
